I wear them primarily while biking to work and occasionally on mountain climbs. On a glacier/winter climb, one of these shirts is my 2nd layer (over a wool t-shirt). The extra long sleeves with the thumb hole tuck nicely into gloves and overmitts, keeping my hands warmer.
