(More customer reviews)Don't laugh - my 8 month old son wore this costume for Halloween this year. Granted, he's a hefty guy - all I had to do was cut off the length in the arms and legs, and it was a perfect fit.
It look like the muscle pads were just sewn inside the standard sized costume. This (obviously) takes up a lot of the interior room, making the arm holes, in particular, quite small. Would it stretch on a bigger kid, and just look even more like bulging muscles? Perhaps... Just calling it like I see it.

(More customer reviews)I bought this costume in size 4-6 for my 4.5 year old son. It fits him quite snugly, so I would suggest a bigger size if you have a 5-6year old. The mask arrived bent so did not quite sit right on him and when my husband tried to rectify that, it broke. It looked very cheap. We ended up buying him a better quality mask at Toys R us. It's a pity the costume does not come with gloves. He does however love the costume and the light feature is a bonus.
