(More customer reviews)The tie closure on these boardshorts is a bit of plastic loop that extends past the fabric. Each side has two of these loops that the string goes through to tie the waist closed. I've had these shorts for just a few months and two of the loops (one on each side) have broken so they no longer tie together evenly. Once one more breaks, I'll no longer be able to tie the waist.
Other boardshorts I have use a grommet in the fabric which holds up much better. If they change the tie method, these would be nice shorts. As is, I can't recommend them.
